Creek in 1998, and the Upper Hudson River Railway was formed the next year to operate seasonal passenger service. The International Paper Co. mill in Corinth closed in 2003, ending regular freight service on the line, which by this time was operated by D&H successor Canadian Pacific. The UHRR’s contract with Warren County ended in 2010, and in 2011 it was announced that Iowa Pa- cific Holdings was chosen as the new op- erator. Unlike UHRR, the new Saratoga & North Creek Railway (S&NC) would operate the entire 56-mile branch line from North Creek to Adirondack Junc- tion, including CP trackage rights over the last mile to reach the Amtrak station at Saratoga Springs. The S&NC operates its seasonal
tourist passenger train from Saratoga Springs to North Creek and return every summer weekend, and starting in July Friday through Tuesday. Train No. 185, the Hudson Explorer, departs Saratoga Springs at 10:00 a.m., and arrives in North Creek at 12:12 p.m. The train will
