REFRIGERANT SOLUTIONS HAS
appointed John Kirkpatrick as commercial director. Mr Kirkpatrick has had a long career within the chemicals industry, initially working at ICI and most recently as technical sales manager at Mexichem on the Wirral. His appointment follows the recent £750,000 investment in RefSols by The North West Fund for Mezzanine, managed by Enterprise Ventures. Mr Kirkpatrick’s appointment allows for the eventual retirement of RefSols’ founder, investor John Poole, although he will continue in his role as chief executive for the immediate future.
VICTAULIC, GLOBAL MANUFACTURER of mechanical pipe-joining systems, has appointed Ian Lawless as vice president, oil and gas, Europe. Mr Lawless moves from his previous role as manager of Victaulic’s UK business. He will focus on bringing effective piping solutions to owners, installers and engineers in the growing European oil and gas market. With eight years’ service at a senior level within Victaulic, Mr Lawless has experience of working in Europe, Canada, Australia and Asia Pacific. He has a proven track record of working with key stakeholders to specify products that help reduce installation time, enhance on site safety and ease future maintenance.

SOPHIE COX HAS been appointed to the staff of the Building & Engineering Services Association (B&ES) as regional manager for South West London and Wessex, with immediate effect. Ms Cox brings to her new role considerable experience of member organisations, including for a leading trade association where she was instrumental in shaping member services and strategies.

BITZER UK HAS expanded its sales and technical support teams, to include Liam Davies as sales engineer, covering the whole of the UK.

In his new external position, his key roles include technical support for customers and wholesalers, ensuring they are up to date with all the latest Bitzer products, as well as delivering product training.

Glen Bryan (pictured) has joined as technical sales support engineer based at the company’s UK headquarters in Milton Keynes where he gives telephone and email technical support on all aspects of the application and operation of Bitzer products.

CONDITIONING Europe SAS is continuing to expand its direct sales team with the appointment of a new area sales manager, Alastair Kay. Concentrating specifically on Hitachi’s innovative Yutaki air source heat pumps product range, Mr Kay brings a considerable depth of experience having worked previously with Worcester Bosch and, most recently, Flogas Renewables where he promoted their range of heat pumps, underfloor heating and other renewable energy products.
ADVANCED ENGINEERING, THE Hampshire-based manufacturer and supplier of coil cleaners and service equipment to the AC&R industry, has moved to strengthen its European customer service presence by appointing Ralf Kauke, a new German-speaking field sales representative.

Ralf’s new sales role focuses on key markets in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, giving practical on-site advice as well as providing training to end users and at vocational schools.
He is a trained AC&R installer, with over 20 years’ experience in plant construction and sales in the refrigeration industry.
