CTC UPDATE NEWS FROM THE CANADIAN TOURISM COMMISSION Agents invited to have a mega time


WE ARE very excited about our 2015 Explore Canada Mega Fam, which will take place this September – and we want 50 of you to join us on one of 10 fabulous trips across Canada! Imagine, nine days of vibrant cities, delectable foods and wines, spectacular wildlife and awesome hosts! Just think of the stories and personal experiences you’ll accrue to entice your clients when you are back home. You’ll be flown courtesy of Air


Canada to your chosen destination and then on to Halifax for our final two nights. There, you’ll absorb the


tastes, sights and sounds of Nova Scotia and have time to share your Canadian travel experience with over 200 agents from across the globe. For more details on how you can join us in Canada, just read

UK TRAVEL agents are being invited to apply for one of 50 places up for grabs on this year’s Canada Mega Fam. Organised by the Canadian


Tourism Commission and its industry partners, the Explore Canada Mega Fam will take place from September 9-18. Agents must complete the Canada Specialist Training


Programme (canadaspecialist. co.uk) and make at least one booking with airline partner Air Canada. They then have until May 31 to register at visitcanada@btinternet.com. Agents can apply to join one of 10 itineraries which will showcase a range of Canadian experiences, before the entire group will meet in Halifax, Nova Scotia, for a closing event. CTC heads out on UK tour


THE CANADIAN Tourism Commission (CTC) and its provincial and travel industry partners are looking forward to meeting travel agents, tour operator reservation staff and those signed up to its award- winning Canada Specialists Programme (CSP) at its four Canada road show UK venues in April. The events – to be held in Newmarket (22nd), Glasgow (23rd), Bristol (28th) and Birmingham (29th) – will offer those attending the chance to gen up on the latest travel and tourism news from Canada. The format will feature an


evening workshop session and fun interactive quiz that will be staged over dinner. Adam Hanmer, Travel Trade Manager said: “We hope to build on the success of last year’s Keep Exploring Quiz by taking


the show to some new cities and meeting new agents. "Taking Canada on the road
