SASKATCHEWAN IS at the heart of Canada, bordering Manitoba and Alberta. It's accessed via Regina or Saskatoon on direct or connecting flights from Air Canada, Westjet and Delta. The province has much to offer outdoor

adventure seekers, nature enthusiasts and travellers looking to get off-the-beaten-path. Check out this sample itinerary to spark your client's imagination to the touring possibilities.

DAY 1-2 REGINA

Start in Regina for two nights. The Queen City is home to Wascana Centre, a sprawling urban retreat considered one of North America’s largest urban parks. It’s larger than New York’s Central Park and home to the Royal Saskatchewan Museum, Mackenzie Art Gallery and the Saskatchewan Legislative Building. Regina is also home to the iconic Royal Canadian Mounted Police's Training Academy which has trained all members since 1885. The RCMP Heritage Centre provides a fascinating look at the force and the Sergeant Major’s Parade and Sunset- Retreat Ceremonies are a must.

Next send them west to the Cypress Hills for two nights, stopping in on the little city of Moose Jaw. Here tunnels below ground tell tales of a well-known gangster and earned the town the nickname of 'Little Chicago'. Discover the 'old cowtown' of Maple Creek and be charmed by its decidedly western flavour and some real culinary gems. Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park is a forested plateau that vaults itself above the prairie, creating an unexpected mountain-like oasis on the border between Saskatchewan and Alberta, one of the highest points between the Rockies and Labrador. Nature lovers will revel in the richness of wildlife and wild flowers while the adventurous can zipline with Cypress Hills Eco-Adventures.

History buffs will enjoy Fort Walsh National Historic Site, which was an important Mounted Police post, and they can cap off a day of fresh air and adventure with some stargazing in this designated Dark Sky Preserve.

as an important Mount DAY 5-6 LA REATA RANCH
