Discover the 'old cowtown' of Maple Creek and be charmed by its decidedly western flavour and some real culinary gems. Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park is a forested plateau that vaults itself above the prairie, creating an unexpected mountain-like oasis on the border between Saskatchewan and Alberta, one of the highest points between the Rockies and Labrador. Nature lovers will revel in the richness of wildlife and wild flowers while the adventurous can zipline with Cypress Hills Eco-Adventures.
History buffs will enjoy Fort Walsh National Historic Site, which was an important Mounted Police post, and they can cap off a day of fresh air and adventure with some stargazing in this designated Dark Sky Preserve.
