DISTRICT 3 — SOUTH CENTRAL OKLAHOMA Cargo Trailer Stolen Near Stilwell TSCRA Special Ranger John Cummings reports the
theft of a cargo trailer from a property near Stilwell in Adair County. Stolen was a 12-foot Wells Cargo trailer, white with black frame, tandem axle, 6-spoke white wheels and a vertically-mounted spare tire on the trailer’s tongue. DISTRICT 4 — NORTH CENTRAL OKLAHOMA Information Sought in Osage County Cattle Theft TSCRA Special Ranger Bart Perrier and the Osage
County Sheriff’s Department are seeking information on the theft of 12 head of calves that were stolen between Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2014, and Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2014, from an Osage County rancher near Wynona, OK. According to Perrier, the 12 head of missing calves
were pastured with the cows, and the calves were not weaned at the time of the theft. The victim was out of town at the time of the theft, and when they returned home on Nov. 19, they discovered the calves in question

Ardmore Man Convicted of Knowingly Concealing Stolen Cattle

N ARDMORE, OK, MAN WAS CONVICTED ON DEC. 16, 2014, AFTER KNOWINGLY CON- cealing stolen property (cattle) in Jefferson County. Texas and South-
western Cattle Raisers Association (TSCRA) Special Ranger Bart Perrier led the investigation. Cody Wayne Blalock, 28, was convicted after he sold 2 steers in the summer
of 2014 to subjects who resided in Jefferson County. The steers in question were stolen from the Speake Ranch, near Ardmore. Both of the steers were branded with the victim’s state registered brand, which aided in the quick identifi cation and recovery of the cattle. The stolen steers have been returned to the victim. “This case highlights that branding livestock is an invaluable tool for law
enforcement to quickly locate, identify and recover stolen livestock,” says Perrier. On Dec. 16, 2014, Blalock pled guilty and received a 5-year suspended sen-
tence along with a $500 fi ne. Blalock has also been instructed to pay $1,000 in restitution and is required to complete 100 hours of community service. TSCRA would like to thank Lt. Derek Helmke of the Carter County Sheriff’s Offi ce for his work and assistance during this investigation.

crossbred, black, red, mixed colored or spotted in color. The calves vary in size from 250 to 600 pounds. The calves have a “Box L” brand on their left hip and a notch under their left ear. Anyone with further information regarding this case
