HE REGIONAL ASSOCIATION PROMOTION (RAP) TEAM MET IN MID-JANUARY TO look forward to 2015 and make plans to recruit new members and retain existing members. We ended 2014 with 16,826 members; well


on our way to meeting the long-term goal of 20,000 members by 2020. The RAP team’s strategy for 2015 is to build upon the successes in


2014 and to continue to improve and simplify the entire process of join- ing TSCRA and renewing TSCRA memberships. Behind these strategies were 2 core concepts, each of which is important to TSCRA’s long-term membership growth: • Tell Our Story: TSCRA is a unique association and members have many reasons for belonging. We will refi ne and update these mes- sages in 2015 to address specifi c challenges members are facing, such as private property rights.


• Local Engagement: We want to work with members on the local level. This means smaller, informal events that allow members to voice their needs and concerns directly to TSCRA leadership. We want to know about the business climate of your ranching operation now and into the future. The RAP team is proud to announce that we will once again continue


a series of nearly 50 ranch gatherings in 2015. Thanks to signifi cant support from Elanco Animal Health, we will be able to get to nearly all TSCRA districts. Watch The Cattleman magazine and The Cattleman Update emails for full details. We look forward to seeing you all throughout the year and working with you to grow TSCRA’s membership.
