Food packaging inspection machine
Luceo has released a new version of the ThermoSecure L, a food packaging inspection machine that detects and rejects all packaging with poor quality seals, labelling, or marking errors. The new packaging
LED driver and controller Innovations in Optics has introduced the 5000D-100 LED driver/controller for powering its Aurora Classic line source illuminators. The driver provides constant current in either continuous, pulsed or PWM modes. An embedded system adds network control with 10/100Mb/s Ethernet connectivity. For machine vision, Aurora Classics deliver excellent brightness and illumination uniformity, which enables fast image acquisition and enhance image resolution. The 5000D-100 is also available for third party LED illuminators to be used as a constant current DC to DC driver/ controller.

machine is a dual lane version with packages arriving for inspection on two lanes. The machine can inspect packages asynchronously and at random intervals. ThermoSecure displays the inspection results on screen or off line, archiving all defect images.
The machine tracks all packaging and archives any important production data and images to prevent rework operations on defective packaging, complaints, or product recalls due to package integrity problems.

Dome lighting Now available from Stemmer Imaging, industrial vision illumination specialist, CCS, has introduced two new dome lights and a bi-directional line light.
The PDM and LAV series of dome lights provide uniform diffused lighting by using combinations of diffused, axial and low-angle lighting. The LNIS/ LNIS-FN series of line lights provides obliquely angled light making them ideal for the inspection of surface scratches.
The dome lights are available in
red, white, blue and green versions The PDM series achieves completely shadow-free light through the combination of individually adjustable dome lighting, low-angle lighting, and coaxial illumination. These lights are ideally suited to the inspection of glossy or irregular surfaces for foreign material or for character recognition and text inspection. Other applications include faulty plating inspection and dimensional measurements on electronic components.
