Machine vision in the metal processing industry – A new dimension of quality, automation and productivity

Rad-icon 3030 x-ray sensor Teledyne Dalsa has launched the Rad-icon 3030 CMOS x-ray detector. The detector gives 3,096 x 3,100 pixel resolution, an active area of 30.6 x 30.7cm, and 99µm pixel size. Rad-icon detectors deliver real-time frame rates of up to 30fps, high sensitivity, and superb resolution in a large area device. The instrument is fully integrated and available with Gigabit Ethernet

CMOS linear image sensors Hamamatsu Photonics has introduced two compact CMOS linear image sensors, the S11106- 10 and S11107-10. These are designed for applications such as position detection, object measurement, rotary encoders and image reading, among others. They have been designed for mass production and to offer maximum performance verses cost. The compact, resin sealed, surface mount package is only 2.4 x 9.1 x 1.6mm in size. The S11106-10 offers an array of 128 pixels measuring 63.5 x 63.5µm, while the S11107-10 offers a

Wide dynamic range InGaAs sensor

NIT has launched its wide dynamic range (WDR) global shutter VGA InGaAs sensor. The 640 x 512 pixel SWIR sensor (900- 1,700nm) with 15µm pixel pitch offers 140dB dynamic range with frame rates up to 200fps thanks to its high-frequency clock in TECless mode. Its key features encompass ITR

or Camera Link interface. The detectors offer a combination of high resolution and fast imaging suitable for industrial x-ray inspection, scientific imaging, and non-destructive testing, including weld inspection, wire bond and printed circuit board inspection, microfocus, computed tomography and other demanding industrial imaging applications. www.teledynedalsa.com

64 pixel array, with each pixel measuring 127 x 127µm. They each boast a high- speed data rate of 10MHz, with low current consumption and simultaneous charge integration. The sensors have a built-in timing generator allowing for simple start and clock pulse inputs for operation. The S11106-10 operates from a single 3V power supply, and the S11107-10 from a 5V supply. www.hamamatsu.com
