Hyper-Cam NB Telops has launched its newest hyperspectral imaging camera, the Hyper-Cam NB. This narrowband hyperspectral camera adds a new kind of hyperspectral imaging sensor, with increased sensitivity, to the Hyper-Cam line of cameras.

Useful for geological, chemical, and

environmental research, the camera offers many of the same features as the Hyper-Cam VLW but has been designed with a reduced spectral range, from 7.7µm to 9.3μm for added sensitivity. Potential applications include pollutant characterisation such as volatile organic compounds (VOCs), mineral research and characterisation and volcanic research, to name a few. www.telops.com

Pco.edge 3.1 and Pco.edge 4.2LT With the addition of two new models, PCO now provides eight sCMOS-cameras. The new Pco.edge 3.1 and Pco.edge 4.2LT are the company’s new entry-level cameras. Like all other models in the Pco.edge family, the

new cameras provide various selectable readout modes. In addition the new models offer high sensitivity, high frame rates, high readout speed, high resolution and wide dynamic range. Another feature of the entire PCO sCMOS family is their small size of just 70 x 76 x 102mm. Both new models will be available in the first quarter of 2015. www.pco.de

Blackfly BFLY-PGE-23S6 camera Point Grey has added the 2.3 megapixel Sony Pregius global shutter CMOS model to its Blackfly family of GigE Vision cameras. The latest Blackfly BFLY-PGE-23S6 camera models are based on colour and monochrome versions of the new Sony IMX249, a 1/1.2- inch global shutter CMOS sensor capable of streaming 1,920 x 1,200 resolution images at 41fps. This sensor combines Sony Exmor and Pregius technology to provide exceptional imaging performance. The Exmor technology brings high-speed performance of Sony CMOS, while the Pregius technology uses an innovative analogue memory pixel design that enables global shutter and low read noise. The new IMX249 sensor offers the same optical format, pixel size and imaging performance as the Sony IMX174, and supports many features required for industrial, scientific and traffic applications, such as high- speed triggering and region of interest (ROI) functionality.

The Blackfly supports cable lengths of up to

100 metres using Gigabit Ethernet, is compatible with third-party imaging libraries via the GigE Vision standard and provides a host of features including Power over Ethernet, temperature and status monitoring, in-field updatable firmware, colour interpolation, look up table, gamma correction, pixel binning functionality, and much more. Point Grey has also introduced Chameleon3, a

new family of USB3 Vision board-level cameras, and added a six-megapixel global shutter CCD model to its Grasshopper3 family of USB3 Vision cameras. www.ptgrey.com

VRMTS-20 sensor module The German camera manufacturer VRmagic has expanded its portfolio with the VRMTS-20, a sensor module with small dimensions. The VRmTS-20 is an external sensor module for the D3 intelligent camera platform. With its compact dimensions of 26 x 26mm and the flexible cable connection to the camera base unit, the module is particularly suitable for applications with limited or angled space. The sensor module is available as an OEM version and as a COB

Three-CMOS video camera Toshiba America Information Systems’ Imaging Systems Division has launched the IK-HD5U, the company’s first high-definition, three-CMOS video camera with full frame rate HD output via USB3.0. The progressive-scan full-HD 1080p/1080i video camera features both DVI-D and USB3.0 outputs for added versatility. The addition of a front panel freeze frame and long exposure mode up to one second (60 frames), makes the new camera configuration especially well-suited to scientific imaging and microscopy applications.

The three-chip video camera delivers exceptional colour accuracy and sharp, full-HD resolution, 1,920 x 1,080 pixels, at 59.94fps. Toshiba Imaging’s IK-HD5U is compatible with its IK-HD5H three-CMOS camera head which features a removable optical low-pass filter (OLPF) for dual-mode imaging applications. The dual mode can easily switch between visible light and near-infrared visualisation. www.toshibacameras.com

S-mount M12 version with different lenses and filter glasses.

The sensor module is equipped with the CMOS sensor AR0134 from Aptina. The 1/3-inch sensor can capture 40fps at a resolution of 1,280 x 960 pixels. Up to six VRmTS-20 sensor modules can be connected to a multi-sensor camera base unit via flex-foil-cables. The modules can be positioned freely and deliver pixel-synchronous images from different perspectives. www.vrmagic.com

features and reduced signal-to-noise ratio give excellent image capture in terms of colour and definition.

The cameras feature defogging correction and different contrast corrections to obtain an optimum overall image. In wide dynamic range mode, the cameras merge several images captured with different exposure times to create a highly dynamic overall image. 2D and 3D noise reduction can also be used.

Sony block cameras Framos now includes Sony FCB video cameras in its product portfolio. In addition to Sony sensors, OLED displays and DVBT components, Framos now also offers Sony block cameras from the FCB EH/EV series with high definition, the FCB EX series in standard definition and the FCB- MA130 miniature camera module.

The cameras offer up to 40x optical zoom and are equipped with Sony Exmor CMOS or Super HAD CCD sensors operating at full HD and 60 fps. The numerous integrated image optimisation
