GRAPHICAL SAMPLING DIGITAL MULTIMETER
The latest 7½-Digit Graphical Sampling Multimeter has been unveiled by Keithley Instruments. It integrates a high accuracy digital multimeter, a digitiser for waveform capture, and a capacitive touchscreen user
interface. The Model DMM7510 helps achieve accurate results and features the ability to explore measurements further. The new instrument offers feature including: Higher
measurement accuracy, Precision multimeter with the flexibility to select resolution levels from 3½ to 7½ digits. DC accuracies are provided typically only found in metrology-
grade instrumentation—but at about half the price of those solutions. A 14ppm basic 1-year DCV accuracy is also offered with expanded measurement ranges (100mV, 1Ω, and 10µA) that enhance low level accuracy. The instruments auto-calibration feature minimises
temperature and time drift; whilst the low burden voltage improves low current measurement accuracy. It has a high accuracy signal sampling with an 1MS/sec, 18-bit digitiser view and can analyse current, voltage waveforms and transients without the need for an additional instrument or PC. Enhanced analogue triggering includes edge, pulse, and window triggers.

NEW EMBEDDED TFT MODULE
Noritake Itron has introduced its new first generation low profile PumaNova SOM (system on module) with direct TFT connection. The CPU consists of a 454MHz
iMX287 processor with up to 512MB of DDR2 RAM and the option to boot from an SDHC card or the internal 4GB eMMC NAND flash storage. Available in four display sizes
including 3.5”, 4.3”, 5.7” and 7.0”, the new module features either a resistive or metallised projective capacitive touch with IDevOS, Linux or WINCE operating system options. Multiple communication
interfaces are offered such as RS232/RS485/SPI/12C/USB/ Ethernet/CAN with low EMI
emission and flexible mounting solutions. Furthermore, the company will be displaying its Metallised Projective Capacitive Touch Sensor at Southern Electronics 2015, which are hard wearing and offer reliability without the risk of degradation due to humidity or temperature extremes. Operational through 4mm of perspex or 8mm of glass, with
gloves and affording no false touches caused, for example, by water splashes, this sensor is available in custom sizes with volume production facilities for various applications including food processing, medical, petro-chemical, energy management, building automation, marine and fire & security.
