NEW 600WATT IP RATED POWER SUPPLY RELEASED
Mean Well has designed a new 600Watt IP rated power supply to operate in various applications. Available in two versions the HLG- 600H A series is supplied with an internal potentiometer allowing the output current to be adjusted from 50 percent to 100 percent and the output voltage from 85 percent to 105 percent. This series is supplied with a built-in three in one dimming
function and the dimming options are 0 - 10Vdc, PWM signal or resistance. Manufactured with a 90 - 305VAC full range input the HLG-600H series provides nine models with DC output voltages from 12V to 54V. The company highlights that it has designed this range with
efficiencies up to 96 percent, enabling the devices to operate without a fan at temperatures between -40℃ and 70℃ and are intended for many different kinds of harsh environments. With a fully encapsulated aluminium case these power supplies
have IP65 or IP67 ratings, 5G anti-vibration capabilities and industrial-level immunity against the instantaneous surge of up to 4kV surge immunity level (IEC61000-4-5) making them an ideal solution for a range of power applicatons.

3-D PACKAGING FOR MEDICAL ELECTRONICS
A moulded Interconnect Device/ Laser Direct Structuring (MID/LDS) has been developed by Molex Incorporated. The company has integrated this 3-D technology with advanced MID capability to deliver integrated fine-pitch 3-D circuitry in a single moulded package suitable for high density medical devices.
This solution aims to address functionality, space, weight and cost savings issues by blending the versatility of a two-shot MID moulding process with the speed and precision of LDS. Scalable from small to large volume production quantities, this device uses a 3-D laser to image micro-line electronic circuitry onto a variety of RoHS-compliant moulded plastics, which allows for pattern modification with lines and spaces down to 0.10mm and circuitry pitch down to 0.35mm. The company provides design and manufacturing experience to
customise its MediSpec MID/LDS selective trace solutions with miniaturised connectors, circuit vias, switch pads, sensors or even antennas. Suitable for SMT applications meeting specific mechanical requirements, integrated chips, capacitors and inductors can be soldered directly to the selective plating on the RoHS-compliant plastic. Insert and overmoulding allows for built- in features to reduce weight and increase functionality. This 3-D packaging is suitable for blood glucose meters, home
