Arkansas Trip: September 2014 Ed Hart ’70 and I wanted to say thank you for including
us in the BC festivities during BC’s recent trip to Bentonville, AR. Eddie and I used the occasion to travel out from Rhode Island and visit with our old teammate, Jerry Moye, and his bride, Cherie. What a fabulous long weekend. Everything went right. The sun was out for golf; BC beat Bentonville; the Razorbacks beat Northern Illinois; and we never ran out of Stella Artois. We were amazed by the large BC contingent that traveled to Arkansas to support the team. The enthusias- tic Crusader crowd made for a terrific Friday Night Lights game. BC’s victory gave Moye bragging rights in his home town. Someday 43 years hence, perhaps some of the young men on the BC team will find an excuse to visit with their old teammates. Old friend are the best friends. Again, thanks to Br. Walsh and Marge for making it happen. — Frank McGoff ’70
It was wonderful seeing everyone in Northwest Arkansas
for the football game. The support for Bergen Catholic was a joy to be part of, even 1200 miles away.
— Jerry DeToro ’80 BC on the Road to Arkansas made for a great fall week-
end. I got a chance to get old friends, Frank McGoff and Eddie Hart, to finally travel to AR for a visit. We had a great time together enjoying beautiful Northwest Arkansas. The fact that the Crusaders were victorious was icing on the cake. It gave me a chance to let these Southerners know that they don’t quite own Friday Nights like they think they do! Being at the game with cheering fans and students traveling with the team certainly gave Frank, Eddie, and me a chance to re- member; WE ARE BC!! Thanks for getting me involved. I really had a great time. — Jerry
