Some may be better listeners or readers and some may be more visual learners. Increasing the number of ways a teacher can get his message out to his students is of great benefit. Additionally, some students may be reticent to ask questions or ask for help out loud. LAN School af- fords these students additional opportunities to voice their questions and concerns.” Allowing for different learning styles is particularly
important for the sciences. While one student may grasp scientific principles by seeing them displayed on the monitor, others need to be convinced with visual demon- strations. “We often use videos to preview experiments that we’ll be conducting in our labs. While we may do
the lab only one time, the students can see the same ex- periment, say an inclined plane experiment from Physics class, as many times as they need to at home,” com- mented Dr. Louis Faso. Teachers are able to create in- teractive work sheets that evaluate the students’ learning process in real time, allowing misunderstandings and mistakes to be corrected before they become ingrained. “The bottom line is that we are using technology to
build leaders who will excel in the world of tomorrow,” said Brother Chris Hall. “A Crusader is a man who has a role in life and works to fulfill it. We’re here to help our young men be ready to make a difference.”
