ver since he was in grammar school, Jason Baptiste ’03 knew he wanted to become an entrepreneur. Was it being his own boss that inspired him? The opportunity to do well financially? At first, he couldn’t put his reasons into words, but at Bergen Catholic he could


suddenly see the future. While Jason worked in the TV Studio under the direction of Mr. Flynn, his thought process crystallized. “I saw the power of media through the programming we produced,” said


Jason. “The influence media has on people is enormous and I wanted to be part of that world. But it was important for me to do it in a new way.” After attending college for a few semesters, the urge to be his own boss


propelled Jason to take time off to hone his entrepreneurial skills in Silicon Valley. There his first startup generated an initial capital raise of $1 million from Spark Capital. Despite that success, he realized the necessity of a col- lege degree and subsequently graduated from the University of Miami
