(Florida) in 2010 with a degree in computer in- formation systems. Soon after, Random House published his first book on entrepreneurship: The Ultralight Startup. In the book, he advises budding entrepreneurs to find a need in the marketplace and fill it. He cautions readers not to be deterred by the friend or relative with an MBA who says it can’t be done. Jason took his own advice and today is the
founder of Onswipe. This high-tech company is dedicated to powering the user experience across a wide range of current and future touch devices, including tablets, phones, smart TVs— even car-based IOS and smart watch devices. Jason believes that published content should work everywhere, on all devices and platforms, taking advantage of the technology inherent in each. His company works with content publish- ers, enhancing interaction with magazine-like quality, page-turn, and touch capabilities. On- swipe, now owned by a major advertising tech- nology enterprise, Beanstock Media, employs more than 80 people. “Our vision is to develop a platform that will
power content across all future consumer de- vices,” Jason commented. “We want to be the company that powers the Internet and empow- ers the users and advertisers to get the most from the content that’s out there.” The Bergen Catholic mission is to create leaders. This some- times requires thinking and acting indepen- dently of what’s gone before. Fortunately, for Jason Baptiste, this is not difficult.
