Professor Nick Petford, Vice-

town, the campus will be supported by the development of travel links with the area, including expansion of the University's bus company, UNO Buses, already the second largest carrier in the Northampton area and operated as a social enterprise. UNO Buses will not only bolster the public transport network of the town, but continue to invest profits into the student opportunities on offer at the University. Situated in Northampton’s Waterside

Enterprise Zone, the new campus will significantly support the economic future of the town. It is estimated that the development will provide a financial boost of £825m, of which £270m will be retained locally benefiting the local economy. The University of Northampton has

already supported economic growth within the area, with the St John’s Halls of Residence opening earlier this year, and the new University of Northampton Innovation Centre due to open in February 2015. Both of these projects have created new jobs within the town.
