FAMILY HOLIDAY ASSOCIATION’S HOLIDAYS MATTER CONFERENCE The industry charity that helps families who cannot afford a holiday will hold it annual conference for the first time at WTM on Thursday 6 November.


Spafinder Wellness 365 Awards 2014 and World Travel Leaders at WTM will be launched at WTM for the first time.


WOMEN IN TRAVEL


WTM is hosting two new seminar sessions looking at the relationship between women and the travel and tourism sector.


Last year, WTM recorded its highest-ever participant numbers with more than 50,000 senior travel industry executives attending. But what about this year... why come to WTM 2014?


Well apart from the fact that anyone who’s anyone will be there – World Travel Market is the leading global event for the travel industry attracting the great and good – there are also many new initiatives designed to increase visitor participation and enjoyment.

WTM FESTIVALS Wednesday’s WTM will stay open for an extra two hours to facilitate the WTM Festivals where exhibitors will host networking events and parties on their stands.


WTM BLOGGERS SPEED NETWORKING Thursday 6 November will see the introduction of the WTM Bloggers Speed Networking session which will see bloggers and exhibitors hold quick meetings to discuss business opportunities. This will take place in the A Taste of ILTM at WTM lounge at 10:30. And don’t forget the regular WTM Buyers’ Club Speed Networking events on Monday and Thursday before the exhibition opens – more on page 9.

WTM WELLNESS TOURISM PROGRAMME The first comprehensive programme to support the fast-growing Wellness Tourism sector is being launched this year from Tuesday to Thursday.

THE TRAVEL TECHNOLOGY SHOW AT WTM Now in its second year, this is poised to grow a further 20% with new exhibitors including Vertical Systems, Mobacar and booking software provider Eviivo.


WTM RESPONSIBLE TOURISM Stephen Sackur, BBC HardTalk presenter, interviews responsible tourism pioneer Colin Bell and Charlie Mayhew, Chief Executive of the Tusk Trust.
