WTM 2014 is hosting two new seminar sessions looking at the relationship between women and the travel and tourism sector.


Held as part of WTM’s Women in Travel programme, the two sessions will focus on successful women travel entrepreneurs and how the industry can play a role in enhancing the lives and future of women around the globe.


On Tuesday 4 November successful female business owners will discuss their individual career paths in ‘Secrets of Successful Female Trav-Preneurs’, fi nding out what it takes to be a female entrepreneur in an often male dominated sector plus highlighting work-life balance issues.


On Wednesday 5 November, representatives from charity organisations and distinguished travel industry women will take part in ‘Women, Human Rights and the Travel

Secrets of Successful Female Tra-Preneurs SOUTH GALLERY 13-14, 14:00-15:00 Successful women entrepreneurs in the travel industry share their experience on how they made it as successful business owners. The panel will discuss what it takes to be a female entrepreneur in a male dominated sector and the obstacles encountered and advantages gained.

But is the way in which the industry develops in high-risk destinations helping or hindering these women? Charity organisations and distinguished travel industry women discuss this critically important yet highly controversial subject.
