Labco acquires controlling interest in the share capital of SDN Spa

Labco have acquired a controlling interest in the share capital of SDN, the Italian group leader in diagnostic laboratory and imaging, with four specialized centers in the area of Naples in Campania and annual revenues of about 48 million euro.

Bettini Formigaro Pericu, advised the sellers, namely Usmen Srl, MPVenture SGR, Imi Fondi Chiusi SGR and Centrobanca SGR, in the sale to Labco Italia of the entire capital of SDN S.p.A..

Bettini Formigaro Pericu team was led by Andrea Pericu, name partner of the firm, who was assisted by Giovanna Giacchero, a partner in the firm, and by Gabriele Marino, junior associate.

Marco Fontana , of Bettini Formigaro Pericu, dealt with the regulatory issues of the deal, with particular reference to the legal framework of the public sanitary system in the Campania Region. LM

ClubCorp to Acquire Sequoia

ClubCorp Holdings Inc. (MYCC), the largest owner of private golf and country clubs in the U.S., bought Sequoia Golf for $265 million to add 50 properties and expand its geographic footprint.

The purchase will make Dallas-based ClubCorp, which already owned or operated 159 courses, almost five times the size of its next largest competitor in the U.S. Sequioa’s portfolio includes four Atlanta-based clubs, 25 private Canongate brand clubs and the 63- hole Woodlands Country Club in Texas, the companies said today in separate news releases.

“Sequoia Golf aligns perfectly with our business model,” Eric Affeldt, ClubCorp’s president and chief executive officer, said in a statement. “It’s a strong membership business that, like ours, generates nearly 50 percent of its revenue from membership dues.” LM
