Shame, shame, shame. How can we say we are for
equality when the ladies voted against having the men join with us? Do they not realize the potential benefi ts they would bring to our organization? How can we shut out these relatives of the female veterans? As for the lady who was so concerned about the
shirt she had purchased, my guess would be she has certainly purchased many shirts throughout the years, and as for the lady who was so worried about what would happen to us old members, I would say, open your arms and welcome the boys in. No more discrimination. Mary Sheehan Auxiliary 454, Bloomington, Illinois

for the article in the magazine [July 2014 – “Blue Teardrop 5k Run/ Walk”]. I have received a tremendous amount of interest from other Ladies Auxiliary members for my upcoming run. And thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping me
spread the word about Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and the epidemic of military suicide. Forever grateful, Marlene Gaitan Auxiliary 2144, Holland, Michigan

Auxiliary LADIES VFW LADIES AUXILIARY VFW MAGAZINE • SEPTEMBER 2014 Michelle, WOW! What
a fabulous job you did on the High Tea at Post 1710 [September 2014]. The pictures were also great! We had a program training meeting this morning, and when I walked in the ladies from 1710 were waving their magazines and beaming. So, all of us
were so thrilled that a Phoenix Auxiliary made the National magazine. Carolyn White Auxiliary 285, Phoenix
You have outdone yourself. The pictures and the magazine article were beautiful, and you cannot imagine the excitement and smiles that the article brought to all our faces. We were attending a School of Instruction conducted by our District President, Sheila Eiler, when we showed everybody our magazine. Theirs were still in the mail, so we proudly displayed ours. I just want to thank you for giving us national recognition. It meant so much to us and our hearts are fi lled with joy. Thank you from all of us at Post 1710. Lois A. Moore Auxiliary 1710 President, Phoenix
