Village, the Military Order of the Cooties and a local cancer research institute. President Borel’s special guest to the Convention was Melissa Jarboe, the widow of SSG Jamie Jarboe. One of his dying wishes was for Melissa to do what she could to help other service members. Melissa created the Military Veteran Project, which seeks to help service members and honor veterans in numerous ways. Clydesdales, followed by the National Offi cers and members bearing their Flags and Banners. T e parade ended at Soldier’s Memorial, where Budweiser hosted free food and drinks. At the conclusion of the Convention,


members elected Peggy Haake from the Department of Hawaii as their new National Guard. See Page 7.
