company was founded in 1966 and today pours more than 200 alloys, including stainless/high alloy, copper base/nonfer- rous and carbon/low alloy steels. Customers include Fortune 500 companies and small businesses in Wisconsin and around the world in the pump and valve, defense/marine, and food and beverage industries.


Minnesota Company Doubles its Footprint with Casting


Cast Corp., Hibbing, Minn, has expanded with a 20,000-sq.-ft. building for metalcasting and related op- erations. The Hibbing Daily Tribune reports the compa- ny plans to expand its business with its existing customer base as well as acquire new customers and diversify. “Cast Corporation is excited about this new venture,


including the opportunities and diversification that it brings to the local community,” said CEO Tim Bun- garden. “Additionally, the company looks forward to leveraging local resources and building on synergies with its historical operations.” The nearly completed project represents a $3.5 million


investment in the building and equipment. With the ad- dition of the metalcasting facility, the company estimates 16 employees will be needed initially and up to 30 as production demands dictate. The 29-employee family business has more than 17 years experience in machining, tooling and casting.

Romi Machine Tools Ltd., Erlanger, KY, has ap- pointed Cranston, R.I.-based Rice Machinery Inc. as its distributor for Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Con- necticut, New Hampshire, and Maine. Rice Machinery offers an in-house CNC, demo, parts and rebuilding department with three trucks on the road daily making service calls and deliveries. The headquarters facility has over 4,000 sq. ft. of showroom space with a 15,000-sq.- ft. warehouse and three additional warehouses in Rhode Island. Rice will offer Romi Machine Tool sales and service including application assistance, training, repair and spare parts.
