organisation, then L&D can’t stand still. As Clive Shepherd puts it, we’re in a world of permanent beta. This quest for continuous improvement means that strategy, content and delivery technology all have to be continually examined with the idea that a refresh or even something more radical could be required. A key part of this, as David Perry notes, is the ongoing desire for specific feedback. There are two key drivers here. First, life, business, markets and regulations are changing at such a pace that the idea that a piece of training could be made once and used again and again, unaltered, seems quaint. Second, digital technology makes continuously renewing commercially and economically viable in a way that was not possible even a few years ago. This never-ending task can seem daunting but the learning and development (L&D) profession should grab the opportunity as another way to demonstrate how
