DESTINATIONS — THEME PARKS & ATTRACTIONS
Bonjour Remy
Flora Ioannou scurried to Paris to get a taste of Disney’s new rodent ride
world’s most famous rodents. No, not that one. This time, my focus wasn’t Mickey Mouse, but Remy the French rat chef, star of 2007 Oscar-winning film Ratatouille, and the park’s new attraction. Clients will find Ratatouille:

L’Adventure Totalement Toquee de Remy – or in English ‘the totally zany adventures of Remy’ – in a new mini land called La Place de Remy in a corner of Walt Disney Studios Park.
On the ride, the oversize scenery
of Paris rooftops at night gives you the illusion of being shrunk down to the size of a rat, before putting on your 3D glasses and clambering into a four-person ratmobile for the chase of your life. was invited to Disneyland Paris to meet one of the
dropping you down into the kitchen and through Gusteau’s famous restaurant, where you’re blasted by a hot oven and hit with a wet mop. You can even smell the food as you scurry past oranges and fresh fish.
What sets this attraction apart is the fact you can ride it repeatedly and have a different experience – it has been designed with 70 sequences so the chase will vary every time.
Chocolate heaven: profiterole dessert
Once the ride comes to an
end you alight in a restaurant where Remy is head chef and each meal is served with a small side serving of his signature dish – ratatouille. Bistro Chez Remy is a 370-seat table- service restaurant with a larger-than-life setting that serves French cuisine on jam jar lid table tops and diners sit on champagne lid and cork chairs. There’s more cheese than any rodent could wish for, and if the rugrats have a sweet tooth, the profiterole dessert is to die for. Parents will be pleased to learn the wine is specially made for the
restaurant and is
outstanding. Bon appétit, mes cheris! TW
