German Christmas markets Berlin has more than 50 markets across the city every winter, most of which run from the end of November to early January. The market at Kaiser
Wilhelm Gedachtniskirche is the biggest, with everything from jewellery and tree decorations to mulled wines and artwork. Munich, Cologne and Hamburg are also popular Christmas market choices.
