✪Be proactive in selling California: Clients will not necessarily consider it so it’s up to you to suggest it.
✪Recommend California as a fly- drive destination: It’s so vast and is ideal to explore by car. It’s great for adventurous clients who want to see lots of different places and for families who like the beach and some culture.
✪California suits all ages: Don’t just sell it to customers of a certain age.
✪Sell the variety! California has so much to offer and each town is different.
✪Remember all the parks: Disneyland Resort in California and Universal Studios Hollywood are great for families. You can combine a beach stay with a Disney holiday in California.

AMY.... ON CALIFORNIA Before Amy went to California, she had never ridden a bike or been surfing. Now she has tried – and enjoyed – both. She cycled a tandem to Venice Beach and had surfing and
paddle-boarding lessons at Huntington Beach. “I decided to do anything they threw at
me,” says Sam, who never learnt to ride a bike as a child.
“I got to go on the back of a tandem with one of the other cover stars so I didn’t have to steer,” says Amy, clearly relieved. “It was the first time I have properly ridden a bike. I did enjoy it although I was a bit nervous.” Getting the chance to try out surfing and paddle-boarding were also new experiences for
Amy. “I wasn’t very good but it was amazing,” she says. “Standing on a surf board with a paddle also looked really easy, but it was quite hard to balance on and steer. But really good fun.”
