What’s new Low-noise amplifiers

This new family of low‐noise amplifiers (LNA) fromPasternack Enterprises is capable of high gain and broadband performance between 9kHz and 18GHz.

The PE15A family of fourteen devices

offers a choice of noise figures, gain levels, frequency ranges and power outputs. It offers noise figures between 0.8 and 3 dB,

Configurable DC motors

The maxon X family of brushed DC motors has been expanded to include two additional sizes: 16 and 32mm. The 16 mm DCX 16 S is available with precious metal and graphite brushes and can be combined with the new GPX 16 planetary gearhead and ENX encoders in a modular system. The DCX 32 L is also available with graphite brushes and can be combined with the GPX 32 gearhead. This 32mm diameter DC motor features high thermal resistance to help it achieve higher continuous power.

Three more versions are also being added

to the GPX gearhead family. The GPX 16 and GPX 32 gearheads are available with diameters matching those of the motors, in 1‐stage and 2‐stage versions. The planetary gearheads have scaled gear stages, which means the geometry has been optimized for the load in each stage. The 22mm planetary gearhead is now also available as a low‐ backlash version, the GPX 22 LZ.

The center of the maxon motor is the unique ironless winding, maxon System. This motor concept has unique advantages, including low electromagnetic interference, a complete lack of magnetic cogging torque and very high efficiency. www.maxonmotorusa.com

gain levels from 25 to 50dB, gain flatness from ±0.75 to ±1.25dB and power output levels (P1dB or Psat) between 10 and 18dBm. The performance is achieved using a hybrid microwave integrated circuit design and advanced GaAs PHEMT technology.

The connectorized SMA modules are unconditionally stable and include built‐in

voltage regulation, bias sequencing and reverse‐bias protection for added reliability. Hermetically sealed and non‐hermetically sealed versions are available. They are fully matched internally for input and output at 50 ohm, which eliminates the need for any sensitive external RF tuning components. www.pasternack.com
