What’s new IP65 handheld enclosures

The latest IP65 Hand‐Terminal enclosures from OKWare designed for handheld machine controllers, test instruments and data entry devices used in heavy‐duty industrial applications and have been designed to accept heavy‐duty switches and other ruggedized controls.

The enclosures are molded in an

impact‐resistant and flame‐retardant (UL 94 V‐0) blend of ABS and PC and an aluminum control panel is available as an option – further increasing their strength and durability. The have a large recessed top for membrane keypads and offer space for elements such as displays or an

emergency stop switch. Various battery cradles and contacts are available.

Two types are available, both 8.66 by

4.72 by 2.55in. Version I has a closed top while version II is open to allow the fitting of the aluminum control panel. Prices start at $53.

OKW can supply the enclosures fully

customized. Services include bespoke colors, CNC milling and drilling, RFI shielding and silk‐screen and tampo printing of legends and logos. Assembly of components is also available.

GaN power transistors

GaN Systems has announced families of normally‐off 100 and 650V power transistors.

The family of 100V devices spans 20

to 80A with very low on resistance. The GS61002P, GS61004P, GS61006P and GS61008P are respectively 20A/21milliohm, 40A/11milliohm, 60A/8milliohm and 80A/5milliohm parts, while the GS71008P is an 80A/5milliohm half‐bridge device. The new enhancement mode parts feature a reverse current capability, source‐ sense for optimal high‐speed design and very low Total Gate Charge (QG) and Reverse Recovery Charge (QRR).

The family of 650V devices has been

optimised for high‐speed systems. The GS66502P, GS66504P, GS66506P and GS66508P are respectively 8.5A/165milliohm, 17A/82milliohm, 25A/55milliohm and 34A/41milliohm parts, while the GS43106L is a 30A/60milliohm cascode. These enhancement mode parts feature a reverse current capability, zero reverse recovery charge and source‐sense.

Both families are RoHS compliant

and are delivered in GaN Systems’ near chipscale, embedded GaNPX package, which minimizes inductance and optimizes thermal performance.

Sealed HDMI connectors

Conxall, a Switchcraft company, has added sealed HDMI connectors to its Data‐Con‐X range of sealed data connectors. The connectors are sealed to a level of IP68 NEMA 250 (6P) when mated and come in a quick‐connect or threaded‐style connection. Feed‐thru termination on the panel allows for easy field installation.

Manufactured in the USA, eight

variants are available: industrial plug – field installable – quick connect;

industrial plug – field installable – threaded; feed‐thru panel connector – quick connect; panel connector to 20 pin header – quick connect; panel connector to PCB holes – quick connect; feed‐thru panel connector – threaded; panel connector to 20‐pin header – threaded; and panel connector to PCB holes – threaded. The assemblies are RoHS compliant.
