Canada Top Selling Tips...
• Canada is perfect for a holiday of a lifetime. It's great value, clean, safe and English speaking. Sharon Clayson
• Don’t be scared of ‘room- only’ hotels – food opportunities are varied and good value. Helen Furlong
• On the Rocky Mountaineer strongly recommend Gold Leaf – it’s worth stretching the budget for. Also book them a lake-view room at the Chateau Lake Louise – well worth it! Sharon Clayson
“The most unexpected thing was how emotional the whole experience made me feel; seeing some of the most awe-inspiring scenery ever really creates life long memories. It's diffi cult to explain but it blew me away”
stunning and ever-changing scenery, incredibly friendly and genuine people, great food, wildlife and lots of activities if you want them. "I loved skiing at Lake Louise and the Rocky Mountaineer was great but the most unexpected thing for me was how emotional the whole experience made me feel; seeing some of the most awe- inspiring scenery ever really creates life long memories! "The contrasts between the cities
and the wooded regions, the open plains and the mountains was amazing; and watching bald eagles and ospreys soaring above was incredible. "All in all, it was a really moving trip;
every new scene was so surprising. It's difficult to put into words, but it just blew me away. "There really is something for
everyone in Canada, from the sports enthusiast who wants to be active all the time to those who just want to sightsee and relax.”
HELEN FURLONG "I feel much more optimistic about selling Canada following our trip.
It is a very competitive market but knowing the destination well really helps you sell more. I have visited numerous times before and know just how different Canada is at different times of year. "The important thing is to pick the right time for your clients to travel so you match the season to what they want to see. Each province and city has a totally different feel, from the more European atmosphere of Québec to the ‘wild west’ style of Banff.
"If customers want action in Banff,
recommend they stay within a block of central Banff Avenue so they have easy access to the bars and restaurants. Also recommend touring and multi-centre trips as this type of holiday in Canada can include a real variety of great experiences.”

NIGEL FURLONG “I specialise in ski, lakes and mountains, action and adventure, and
recommend Canada for the beautiful scenery and great service.
"My highlight on this trip was skiing at Lake Louise – we experienced perfect conditions and empty pistes – and the Rocky Mountaineer experience. The views from the Banff Gondola
were most unexpected and I was impressed by how much Air Transat has improved since my last experience. "When it comes to skiing, Canada's east coast is a good option because it is not too far to fly and great for families. Out west, Whistler can be combined with time in Vancouver and Banff/Lake Louise which are great destinations for the variety of skiing experiences available and the fact that they offer a Rockies' experience.
PHIL DAVIS “Vancouver has always been a favourite city of mine and after this trip
definitely remains so. Travelling Gold Leaf on the Rocky Mountaineer certainly beat travelling Greyhound overnight between Vancouver and Banff, as I had done previously. "The new FlyOver Canada experience in Canada Place, Vancouver, took my breath away and gives a great insight into the landscapes of Canada, before you set out to explore them. "I definitely think it is important to encourage clients to spend more time in Vancouver, it is worth much more than one night between a cruise and a tour. There's lots to see."
• Stress Canada's moving scenery. It sounds daft but each new scene just blows you away! Suzanne Wren
• Sell Canada to families. It's perfect for a safe, fun adventure, perhaps by motorhome. Richard Slater
• Canada is perfect for British travellers. Make sure they realise it is not America, or like America. Brits of ages will really feel at home! Phil Davis
• I cannot fault Air Transat: good service, nice aircraft, good entertainment – a very pleasant surprise. Suzanne Wren
• Canada has plenty of warm months to enjoy on tours, cruises, city breaks and adventures. Richard Slater
• Defi nitely recommend a good few days in Vancouver; it's a beautiful city with so much more to offer than just shopping. Be sure clients visit Grouse Mountain and Capilano suspension bridge. Suzanne Wren
