SKECHERS named “hottest major brand in the U.S.”

Moda Footwear will launch new and improved kid’s product zone Mini Moda this Spring/Summer, as the show gets set to return to the NEC Birmingham from 10-12 August 2014.
Mini Moda is set to showcase the top children’s footwear labels
from across the globe in one stand-out area within the show, as well as providing another key destination on the trade show calendar for kid’s stockists.
Children’s footwear specialists have been a growing presence within the
show over the last few seasons and with an increasing demand from buyers for an ever more diversified product offer, Mini Moda is a natural progression for this key product offer.
Among the brands already signed up for the area are a host of market
leaders including Butler Boots, Pediped, Petasil, and Ricosta who praised the new area as a good move for the kid’s footwear presence at the show.
Newcomer to Moda this season, Hug and Hatch will debut its new
collection which introduces fresh colours and exciting prints in high quality leather and suede across the brand’s signature sandal and pre-walker styles. Lisa McNair from the brand commented: “Moda is the perfect venue for a young British brand like ourselves to connect with buyers. It's our first time exhibiting and we already have some appointments scheduled with buyers. We are looking forward to growing our key accounts and meeting our fellow exhibitors.”

ootwear Industry Expert SKECHERS USA, Inc. (NYSE:SKX) has announced that sporting goods
industry expert Matt Powell from Princeton Retail Analysis stated SKECHERS is currently the “hottest major brand in the U.S.” in his April 2014 Footwear Overview released last week.
The Company has also moved up the rankings for top athletic shoe
companies to secure the number five market share position. Powell also reported SKECHERS had a 50 percent gain in brand share for April 2014 and secured the number nine position for the top 25 athletic shoes sold in the U.S. during the month of April. This news follows the best first quarter (2014) net sales and second highest annual (2013) net sales in SKECHERS’ 22-year history as well as Meb Keflezighi’s triumphant win at the 2014 Boston Marathon wearing Skechers Performance racing shoes.
“The strong performance by SKECHERS in April is evidence that the momentum of our record first quarter sales continues to drive us forward,” said Michael Greenberg, president of SKECHERS. “We’re firing on all cylinders with product initiatives and fresh innovative footwear styles that are clearly resonating with consumers. We believe this positive trend will continue as the demand for our brand remains strong worldwide.”
SKECHERS has collected numerous accolades in recent months, winning severalfootwear industry awards including: Footwear News’ Brand of Year for Skechers GOrun, two Excellence in Design awards from Footwear Plus magazine, and the Company was named Fashion Footwear Brand of the Year at the 2014 Footwear Industry Awards in the UK.
