ASL interpretation
Grammy-winning a capella ensemble Sweet Honey in the Rock celebrates the “holydays” with a one-of-a-kind seasonal concert, performing music from faiths and religions around the globe. With trademark vocals rooted in African American tradition— blues, spirituals, gospel, reggae, chants, lullabies—the group honors the holiday spirit from Christmas to Kwanzaa. Drawing on American, Latin, Chinese, African, and Hebrew influences, the performance includes holiday standards such as Go Tell It on the Mountain, This Little Light of Mine, and more, along with new holiday favorites.
Presented in association with the Office of the Vice President for Human Resources, Diversity and Multicultural Affairs through the UVM President’s Initiative for Diversity.

"Sister Act”
“Unbridled joy!” —Huffington Post
Thursday, December 11 at 7:30 pm $70/$60/$50
Sister Act is Broadway’s feel-good comedy smash, nominated for five Tony Awards including Best Musical, Best Book, and Best Original Score. The show tells the story of Deloris Van Cartier, a wannabe diva whose life takes a surprising turn when she witnesses a crime and hides in a convent. Under the suspicious watch of Mother Superior, Deloris helps her fellow sisters find their voices as she unexpectedly rediscovers her own. With original music by eight-time Academy Award winner Alan Menken (Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, Little Shop of Horrors), Sister Act is a sparkling tribute to the power of friendship that the New York Post calls “ridiculously fun.”
