Arguably the finest ballet dancer of our time, Wendy Whelan has been captivating audiences of New York City Ballet for more than 25 years. Her elegant, thrilling movement and exacting performances have inspired many contemporary choreographers. In Restless Creature, Whelan collaborates with choreographers Kyle Abraham, Joshua Beamish, Brian Brooks, and Alejandro Cerrudo to create a suite of four duets, which she performs with each choreographer. Restless Creature explores each artist’s style and aesthetic while capturing the essence of Whelan’s “uncompromising, generous, bold, and enthusiastic artistry” (New York Times).
