Bench-top freeze dryer has development and pilot scale capabilities
SP Scientific’s AdVantage Pro is a new laboratory freeze dryer that combines development and pilot scale capabilities in a convenient bench top unit. It features a new Intellitronics controller offering enhanced functionality and intuitive touch screen navigation. Designed for both the occasional user and freeze drying expert, the
AdVantage Pro with Intellitronics simplifies freeze drying and makes the system easy to operate. One touch start-up and shut down ensure that your product and freeze dryer are protected from inadvertent operational procedures. A full colour touch screen display
provides users with at-a-glance understanding of the status of the freeze dryer and whether or not appropriate freeze drying conditions exist. Alarm alerts, delivered via email, help notify the user of potential problems with the system and hence, with the product.
Utilising optional
Ethernet control, you can connect the freeze dryer to your network and monitor and control your freeze dryer from any other location on the
network. Recipe customisation (up to 10 thermal treatment and 12 drying steps) and optional remote access provide facility for operators to undertake even the most complex freeze drying protocols even when they are away from the lab. The controller provides scientists with the ability to develop a complete freeze drying recipe, together with the flexibility to program and control individual pressure and temperature settings at each step of the process. The AdVantage Pro is a versatile
system that can freeze dry bulk product or be configured for applications in stoppered vials. Top down pneumatic stoppering is available as an option. It also features a Pirani gauge to measure and control vacuum. Side-mounted manifold valves provide the additional flexibility to freeze dry product in flasks. Two refrigeration choices (-70°C and -85°C) are available for the large 6-litre capacity condenser, depending on the type of product and solvents being lyophilised.
Featuring the latest advances in
bench-top freeze drying, the AdVantage Pro can be configured with up to three fluid-cooled shelves which maintain precise temperature control. Incorporating silicone flooded
shelves; the AdVantage Pro maintains a precise level of temperature control (±0.5°C) previously available only in pilot/production scale freeze dryers. Added operational convenience is provided by an advanced condenser coil which can hold a total of six litres before defrosting. At only 26 in (66cm) wide, the
Advantage Pro requires a minimal amount of your valuable bench space, yet enables product to be safely processed on over 3ft2 (2,766cm2
) of usable shelf
area. The AdVantage Pro comes with a two year refrigeration warranty and includes CE marking.
