Beat the Heat and Head to Asheville, NC
T
he June “Deep Listening”
workshop in Asheville, NC offers a new perspective on healing. Psychologist Dr. Michael DeMaria has been practicing meditation and
the healing arts for over 30 years. He has discovered that deep listening is an equally important practice, one that has the potential to open humans to a new level of personal and societal healing. Michael explores how information overload and data-smog create a level of stress that causes emotional and physical illness. By learning to deeply listen to our own bodies and hearts, we can alter our perception of time, which decreases this stress. Deep Listening, a two-day workshop and bonus Friday night concert, takes place at the beautiful OM Sanctuary in Asheville, NC. With lodging on site, this retreat center focuses on relaxation and rejuvenation—perfect for a mid- summer visit. This is a great healing workshop for couples, people with elderly parents, teenagers or anyone interested in building listening skills. Workshop practices will demonstrate how listening “with the ears of our heart” allows us to open to the hearts of those around us, while bringing more healing and less stress into our own lives. Dr. Michael DeMaria is not only a
Psychologist but an Author, Sound- Healing Artist and 4-time Grammy® Nominee. He presents: “Deep Listening—Heal Your Heart, Heal the World” at the OM Sanctuary in Asheville June 28-29. Register early for free access to the Friday night concert. Visit

Special Offer: SaJune’s Men’s Health Program
n average, men die at a signifi cantly younger age than women. The average life expectancy for American men is almost fi ve years less than women (presently 76 compared to 81); however, there is no biological reason for this. In general, men are less likely to discuss their health and how they’re feeling. In fact, there is even a reluctance to take action when men don’t feel physically or mentally well.
