ISSA Interclean 2015 ISSA/Interclean 2014 6-9 May 2014 at Amsterdam RAI
ISSA/Interclean Amsterdam marks its 25th anniversary in 2014. In the past years, the show has earned international recognition, became the launch pad for product innova- tions worldwide and has a high level of loy- alty from global visitors and exhibitors. All in all, there’s a lot to celebrate. “The 2014 edition is set to be a landmark
event as we celebrate 25 biennial shows since 1967,” said Rob den Hertog, Amster- dam RAI’s manager for ISSA/Interclean. “We are working on special ways to mark this great occasion and we promise you a festive 25th birthday event. We are also, of course, looking for new initiatives to provide the in- dustry with business and networking oppor- tunities and 2014 will be no exception. And as a product showcase with excellent net- working, ISSA/Interclean is second to none.”
Silver jubilee
The 25th edition will be the largest to date and will welcome over 150 new exhibitors. Dedicated to facilitate visitors in finding their way around the 50,000 sq.m. of fair- grounds, the show features a washroom area, high pressure area, and a steam cleaning area where exhibitors in these segments are conveniently clustered. New in 2014 is an outdoor demo show, bringing a multitude of equipment manufacturers, dealers and retailers together for a show filled with a variety of activities and demon- strations for outdoor cleaning.
How it started
The story begins when Interclean was born in Amsterdam’s famous Café Hoppe. Two window washers came up with the idea to organise an exhibition dedicated to clean- ing. Since the very first Interclean in 1967, the exhibition has developed to become a leading trade fair for the cleaning industry. From 1998, the show made an alliance
with ISSA and became ISSA/Interclean. Since this alliance the internationalism of the show has increased substantially.
The previous event
After four days, a total of 28,001 visitors were registered, up from 23,415 in 2010. Rob den Hertog continued: “The Amster- dam show is a truly international event with 72% international attendance. Countries represented include Germany, United King- dom, Italy, France, Scandinavian countries, Spain, Russia and United States. In our ef- forts to attract new visitors from growing economies, we are happy to see that the biggest growth in attendance numbers are from Eastern Europe (Russia, Latvia, Esto- nia), South Africa, Asia (India, UAE, Japan) and Turkey.” Some 670 manufacturers from 42 coun-
tries presented their latest products and solutions to an international audience of in- dustry professionals. The ISSA educational conference, mini congress, and high pres- sure demonstration area were all well vis- ited and received good feedback.
