After 2013’s success, VisitEngland will again partner with four specialists to promote domestic tourism through travel agents, says Lucie Humphrey

he new ‘Holidays at Home are GREAT’ campaign ‘Great Adventure’, which features Wallace and Gromit (yourgreatadventure.
co.uk), will promote short breaks in some of the UK’s most iconic destinations. This £2 million Government-funded campaign is aimed at encouraging Britons to book a UK holiday through travel agents.

Bourne Leisure is offering a £20 discount for customers booking through their travel agent for the duration of the campaign. In addition, Butlins is offering customers breaks from £45 pp; Haven is offering customers up to 25% off short breaks and up to 40% off seven-night holidays at all holiday parks; whilst Warner Leisure Hotels’ guests can book spring and summer breaks from £179pp. Bourne Leisure is also running its own ‘Get Booking with Bourne’ incentive for agents where they will be giving away weekly prizes of vouchers, iPod shuffl es or kindles.
