DISTRICT 13 — EAST TEXAS Tool Thefts Plague East Texas Ranch


TSCRA Special Ranger Larry Hand reports 2 thefts of tools from a property on the line between Van Zandt and Smith counties. The fi rst theft occurred on Dec. 22, when a thief or thieves entered a remote ranch shop building to steal a De- walt reciprocating saw, model 938; a Dewalt drill, model 995 N; a Stihl 16-inch chainsaw; a Proto ½-inch drive socket in a red metal box with green paint; a ¾-inch Craftsman socket set in a black plastic box; and 2 red metal fuel cans holding at least 10 gallons of diesel fuel. The second theft occurred on Dec. 31, involving 2 gray Craftsman toolboxes full of tools, 1 metric and 1 SAE; a 13-inch color television and winter camoufl age overalls. DISTRICT 14 — EAST TEXAS Cattle, Trailer Stolen in East Texas


TSCRA Special Ranger Jimmy Dickson reports the theft of cattle and a trailer from a property in Anderson County. Sometime between Jan. 4 and 5, a thief or thieves bypassed a locked gate to steal 2 head of black and white spotted cows, 2 head of black cows and 1 red cow with a white face. The cattle were unbranded and had either a white or yellow ear tag. Also taken was a 24-foot black Neckover brand cattle trailer with a gray cover and a repair spot on the left fender. Bull Missing in Navarro County Special Ranger Dickson reports a bull missing from a property in Navarro


County. The 5-year-old Angus bull may have gone estray between Dec. 14 and Jan. 4 and is now believed to be stolen. The bull has an “M5” brand on the left hip. DISTRICT 15 — CENTRAL TEXAS Sheep Missing TSCRA Special Ranger Marvin Wills reports the Dec. 17 theft of 119 head

Suspect in Upshur County Indictment Arrested in Louisiana


A Louisiana man was arrested


Nov. 20, 2013, by Louisiana authori- ties in Webster Parish and trans- ferred to the Upshur County jail, where he had been indicted on a charge of tampering with a gov- ernment document, a third degree felony. Ed Williams, 55, is accused of
