These workshops are designed to introduce anyone who cares for a baby to basic emergency action skills for when a baby stops breathing through choking or drowning. Ideal for parents, grandparents, guardians, friends, babysitters or even older siblings. Attendees will learn infant life support (CPR), infant choking (diagnosis and treatment), infant drowning (diagnosis and treatment).

Anybody 16 years old or over can become a Community Instructor. Simply attend a Community Instructor course and the qualification you gain will enable you to deliver both Save a Baby’s Life and Community Life Support Workshops. ‘Free to Attend/Fundraising’ or ‘Pay to Attend’ Option RLSS UK would like to see these workshops run as widely as possible and so is providing free workshop resources to those Community Instructors who wish to run ‘Free to Attend/Fundraising’ workshops (all part of RLSS UK’s charitable aims and charitable spend).


‘Free to Attend/Fundraising’ workshops: Community Instructor registers workshop as ‘Free to Attend/Fundraising’ at www.rlss.org.uk and, once approved, orders workshop packs from Lifesavers Direct free of charge. Members of the community attend workshop free of charge (with the option of a voluntary donation).


‘Pay to Attend’ workshops: Community Instructor registers workshop as ‘Pay to Attend’ at www.rlss.org.uk and orders workshop packs from Lifesavers Direct at prices advertised (costs can be recouped through fee charged to attend workshop). Members of the community pay a fee to attend the workshop.
