Sean O’Connor for Moda F

“Moda Comments” , event director

ootwear says, “A contingent of Spanish labels contribute to a

great number of new brands showing with us this season. Fresh new signings, many of whom are showing exclusively, footwear specific seminars, industry debates and catwalk shows help make Moda Footwear THE event on the UK footwear calendar. We are also investing heavily in an assisted buyer programme to ensure that key retailers have the opportunity to make Moda Footwear the buying destination for their season.”

Hispanitas, Marian, Luis Gonzalo and 24 HRS

are family firms that have grown and evolved over the years and employs the latest technologies to ensure its products meet with today’s demanding consumer market.

Javier Carbonell, of Hispanitas says, “We have heard many great things about Moda and

very much look forward to taking part in the UK’s largest footwear show. We hope to have many networking opportunities and meetings with our buyers over what we hope is three very busy days!”

Iconic footwear brand Dr Martens will also make their debut at the show bringing along their full range of men’s, women’s and children’s wear alongside other newcomers Cara, Minnetonka, Blundstone, Elvetik, and Children’s brand BLUW.

SOREL will also be joining Moda Footwear for the

first time in February. Founded in Canada, SOREL like to reinvent iconic styles while pushing design and style into the future. The winter 2014 collection will continue to pull form their winter heritage range, with a tradition of premium leathers and plush fleece linings, plus classic rubber outsoles.

All will suitably compliment returning brands including Joules, Hogl, MJUS, Base London, Geox and Peter Kaiser. The most striking aspect of the mainstays of the Peter Kaiser collection is their silhouette with shape, heel and materials in perfect harmony. Mary Janes and T-bars continue to feature, as do fashionable winklepicker and square fronts. Covered wedge heels and rounded fronts are an addition while smooth court shoes continue to be very important. Feminine lace-up shoes, bows, chains and studs are subtle fashion statements.
