Our experts’ travel secrets...
TURTLES At Tortuguero National Park, green, hawksbill and leatherback turtles come ashore and lay eggs before making their way back to the sea. This evening’s ritual is an amazing natural spectacle. July to October is the season for green and hawksbill turtles and March to July for leatherbacks.
ADRENALIN JUNKIES
Costa Rica is an adventure-seekers’ paradise. You can try whitewater rafting, horse- riding, snorkelling or any number of activities to get the adrenalin pumping. A great way to gain a unique vantage point is to walk above the tree-tops on a canopy walkway.
