We stay at the beautiful Druids Glen in County Wicklow, Southern Ireland.
Druids Glen Golf and Spa Resort is located in the heart of County Wicklow Southern Ireland. Wicklow is regarded as Ireland’s garden county because of its beautiful sea, country views and natural beauty. We stayed at Druids Glen resort for a long weekend, to play a little golf and relax before moving on to Dublin for a couple of days. Druids Glen is a 5* Hotel with two championship golf courses, The Glen and The Heath have hosted many major tournaments and some of golf's finest players.
The hotel has a laid back, relaxed atmosphere. The entrance, bars and restaurant are spotlessly clean and inviting. Our room was large and comfortable, the bath robes and towels were of the highest quality and if you’re about for afternoon tea try the scones.... You will not find better.
The gym, swimming pool and leisure facilities were first class, with all types of treatments from massages, facials and manicures to relaxing herbal treatments and pedicures.
The restaurant served wonderful food and had a good selection of wines. The menu was varied and you had a good variety of dishes to choose from. The staff were attentive, informative and gave service with a smile, typical Irish hospitality. The views of the countryside and the Irish Sea from the breakfast room were stunning and in good weather you could sit out on the veranda. Breakfast was served until 11am so those who are late to rise do not miss out either. I felt that all of the staff, be it in the hotel or out on the golf course, were there for one thing; to make my stay as pleasant and enjoyable as possible. If you are lucky enough to visit Druids Glen Resort you will not be disappointed, you will have a relaxing, peaceful time in a tranquil setting ... Even if time stood still there’s still not enough time to enjoy all this place has to offer.
