Retail Lighting

Setting the

Scene

In a retail environment, setting the scene in the correct manner is vital and lighting plays a huge part in this. We investigate different lighting techniques used within retail and how lighting can engage consumers with the brand.

Creating the right ambiance in a retail environment is key to delivering high sales and a high footfall. Due to the ever changing face of retail, lighting needs to be flexible and easy to amend to fit with any new products or lines available. It is usually the case that when a store is redesigned or refurbished, a higher turnover will be seen with repeat customers wanting to visit the new store and the fresh updated look drawing in new consumers. But when deciding what lighting to install in a new or refurbished store, what are the key things to consider? Firstly retailers need to determine what they want to achieve, whether this is a better quality of light, energy savings or just a simpler, more up to date lighting system; deciding what is at the forefront of the retailers and consumers needs is key to a good lighting system. Keenlight specialise in lighting for retail environments and have a proven track record in helping retailers update their lighting systems. maintenance costs, whilst ensuring the store is well lit and attracting customers over the threshold. Once inside the store the consumers are able to view merchandise easily whilst enjoying the atmosphere enhanced by good lighting solutions.

Keenlight have been able to continue their manufacture of high efficient luminaires using the latest LED technology utilising control gear from major manufacturers which gives both Keenlight and their customer peace of mind with good guarantees. Keenlight believe that unless a store entrance is lit well, the customers generally will not step over the threshold. Once in the store, it is important that the merchandise is easily seen and promotional areas are highlighted. Lighting is not something the general shopper will notice, however, they will notice if the store is dull, gloomy and uninviting. Keenlight feel that the lighting element, if well designed and doing the right job will enhance the overall visual required by the designer and client, which in turn will make the customer feel
