If the freezing temperatures of an IrishWinter aren’t cold enough for you, head to Spain – yes Spain – to experience Finca Cortesin’s snow cabin!
Together with specially formulated Biologique Recherche anti-ageing treatments, it is said that guests can turn back the years and leave feeling reborn, as the glacial, powder snow offers a refreshing contrast to the Spa’s saunas and steambaths.
Following an indulgent thermalmassage, a short walk across a heated floor takes clients to The Snow Cabin, where they begin the intentionally slowprocess of cooling the body. As the body acclimatises, the cardiovascular systemadapts little by little, ultimately improving the blood systemby saturating the oxygen and providing physical stimulation without unhealthy sweating.
Research suggests that this process is farmore effective than the shock of a typical cold shower or plunge pool.
