incentive meetings Malaysia A winning combination of diverse cultures and experiences
Back to nature From jungle-flanked beaches to lush wetlands and mangrove forests, Langkawi is a natural paradise in every sense of the word. The curved, 400-foot-long Langkawi Sky Bridge — accessible only by cable car — offers some of the best bird’s- eye views of the area at 2,000 feet above sea level.
City life Kuala Lumpur,Malaysia’s capital and largest city, is home to the PETRONAS Twin Towers, the tallest twin towers in the world, as well as an array of culturally diverse neighborhoods ideal for sight-seeing and exploring. Groups can also shop in two of the world’s top 20 largest shopping malls and climb the 272 steps of the Batu Caves, famous for its annual Thaipusam Festival gathering of more than a million Hindu devotees.
From 130-million-year-old tropical rainforests, to UNESCO World Heritage Sites, to miles of hawker-style food stalls — Malaysia’s diverse compendium of experiences and attractions has created an incentive destination unlike any other. Malaysia has been repeatedly highlighted as a best-value destination, and whether groups want a city jaunt filled with high-end shopping and five-star hotels or an island escape with snorkeling and jungle trek- king, the country’s diversity of experiences will satisfy any interest or itinerary. In conjunction with the Visit Malaysia Year
2014 promotional campaign, the Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB) has launched its latest meetings and incentives package, the Malaysia Twin Deal ++ (MTD++). MTD++ aims to support Tourism Malaysia’s objective to welcome 28 million tourists to

the country as well as create val- ue-added support for corporate and incentive groups looking to meet in Malaysia in 2014. Targeting international corpo-
rate and incentive groups, MTD++ rewards both meeting planners and their attendees with special experiences and gifts. Rewards for attendees include limited-edition wel- come gifts and cultural showcases with complimentary dinners, and for planners, a vacation for two in Malaysia and an iPad Mini. Incentives for attendees apply to groups of 50 participants or more, and for planners, groups of 500 or more. Meeting planners can also take advan-
tage of hotel perks through the program’s partnership with local properties in Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Langkawi, Sabah, and
Sarawak. These incentives include discounts on meeting packages, complimentary rooms, and welcome amenities. Hotels participating include 34 properties from popular global brands, such as the Ritz-Carlton Kuala Lum- pur, Westin Langkawi Resort & Spa, and Hil- ton Petaling Jaya Hotel. To participate in the MTD++ program, meetings must be booked before Dec. 31, 2013, and take place in 2014.
