HHB Provides for IMG Studios
HHB Communications has supplied three Avid S5 Fusion consoles and numerous Genelec loudspeakers to system integrators TSL for IMG Productions’ new Stockley Park facilities (to be known as IMG Studios). The 107,000sqft facility
comprises 13 production galleries, four sound dubbing suites, 72 edit suites, five radio stations, five transmission suites, and a master control room. Almost half of the
equipment installed by TSL was newly purchased, including Avid S5 Fusion consoles in three 5.1 surround sound post- production suites, in addition to five Genelec 1238CFM speakers and a 7271A sub per room, all supplied by HHB. The S5 Fusion offers a
dedicated Digital Signal Processing engine and EUCON Hybrid control to record and mix EUCON- enabled Pro Tools projects. Over 70 percent of the monitors at IMG Studios are new Genelecs, with all editing suites containing either new or previously purchased models. IMG Studios will be used
for sports broadcast production services including the Barclays Premier League in addition to work for the fashion and media industries.

Installation Names Showcase Panelists
SISTER title Installation has announced the names of the first two panelists taking part in its Installation Showcase: Entertainment event at BAFTA, London, on 5 November. Ian Stickland is a senior
consultant with theatre consultancy Charcoalblue and has expertise in the fields of sound reinforcement and recording, cinema systems, theatrical lighting and technical management. Sam Wise has 25 years’ experience as a theatre consultant and spent many years at Arup before setting up his own consultancy, Venue Strategies. The pair will discuss ‘Trends in venue design and operation – how do they affect the integrator?’

STUDER’S BROADCAST Academy training course for Studer consoles is now available online at
studerbroadcastacademy.com. The course is designed for engineers worldwide to learn the operation of the company’s Vista Series digital mixing consoles. It consists of a series of modules, which participants must complete and pass 100 percent to officially certify as a Studer Vista Operator. The course is structured in an interactive format and students can download the Virtual Vista software that gives them a graphic, active representation of a Vista console. Virtual Vista can also be used for offline console configuration and online remote control of Vista mixing consoles.
