Personal routers, including wireless routers, may not be used on DePaul’s network. Violations of this, or any other technology-related policy, may result in a student’s network connectivity being temporarily or permanently disabled. If additional data ports for multiple network devices are

needed, you can use a network switch. These devices are not supported by the university, and if they are configured incorrectly, your network connectivity may be disabled. To view a complete set of policies associated with DePaul’s residential network, please visit http://www.is.depaul.edu.

TIVO - TiVo subscribers can hook up the service with the College Cable system. When you hook up TiVo, it will ask you for your zip code, and then it will display a list of cable providers within that zip code. College Cable will be listed with the name of your college or university (DePaul University). TiVo does charge a monthly fee for their service. DePaul University does not cover cost for equipment or monthly fees; it is the responsibility of the resident. For more information on TiVo or the cable

system, visit Housing Services’ website.

PHONE SERVICES – Residence hall rooms are equipped with analog telephone connections that provide free local calling and standard calling features, including call waiting, three-way calling and call forwarding. You need to provide your own telephone. Voicemail is also available for free upon request by contacting the Technology Support Center at (773) 325-HELP (4357). On-campus calls can be placed by dialing the last five digits of any DePaul number (2-xxxx, 5-xxxx, 6-xxxx or 7-xxxx). Off-campus calls can be placed by dialing 9 + 1 + the ten-digit number. Your telephone number is 773-687-xxxx) and is printed on the jack.

COMPUTER LABS – Community computer labs are located throughout campus and feature PC and Mac computers that are equipped with a variety of software, as well as a print station.
