The fi rst Compounding World Forum is being held by Compounding World magazine and Applied Market Information (AMI) in Philadelphia, PA, USA on 10-11 December. Focusing on the latest market and technology trends


for technical compounders, the two-day conference will cover many of the magazine’s most popular themes in a live format. This will provide a rare opportunity to learn fi rst-hand about these important developments as well as discussing them with key players from throughout the supply chain. The packed conference programme features 21 high-


level presentations from expert speakers, including senior representatives from many of the leading global compounders, as well as innovative raw materials suppliers and machinery manufacturers. Here we preview the presentations that are scheduled for the fi rst day of the event (the second day of the conference will be previewed in next month’s issue).


Business strategies The fi rst session of the conference will focus on the changing business of compounding, looking at the opportunities and challenges presented by the fast moving global plastics market. Andy Beevers, the editor of Compounding World, will chair the conference and will also give the opening paper on changes in the global compounding industry. Using data from AMI Consulting, he will analyse global market trends and help to set the scene for the conference.
