The company says that this is due to the fi ller’s inert nature and thermal stability, which are unaffected by repeat compounding of recyclate. In a related area, Imerys says that its talc grades can be used in some applications as low-cost alternatives to glass-fi bre reinforcements. At the forthcoming K 2013 show in Germany, Imerys will highlight the sustainable and technical properties
of its multi-mineral portfolio. Among the grades that will be featured is Mistroblock, a talc product that is described as a bright micro-lamellar grade for PE fi lm.
