Membership New tools for members US Lacrosse last month introduced two new, free services to help volunteer leaders and coaches with organization, communication, development and other aspects of running a youth lacrosse team or league. The US Lacrosse

Program Administrator Manual comes complete with a tabbed binder and contents on a USB drive

containing resources for organizational structure and timeline, parents and volunteers, coaches and fi nances. The manual includes reusable decals with men’s and women’s lacrosse fi eld diagrams, a dry erase pen and the most recent US Lacrosse membership brochure. US Lacrosse’s second new offering entails

a new integration between members that use USLaxTeams.com, USL's team and league management tool, and ArbiterSports.com, the online resource used by assignors, offi cials and administrators to schedule offi cials to games. Following a quick linking process, the free integration provides coaches, assignors and offi cials with instant notifi cations of when games are cancelled or rescheduled. Program administrators no longer need manage rosters of assignors and offi cials, track down phone numbers or send faxes. To see a video with instructions on how to link your USLaxTeams.com site with ArbiterSports.com, visit http://uslax.in/15pW0tK.

Sport Development More cred for US Lacrosse offi cials in Arbiter US Lacrosse and ArbiterSports are working together to integrate

offi cials’ information into the ArbiterSports.com system assignors use to place offi cials on games. The alignment will help USL-member offi cials place their qualifi cations, such as membership in the sport’s national governing body and courses or clinics competed through the Offi cials Education Program, in front of the eyes of assignors. Offi cials must renew their membership by Sept. 30. The same email address should be used for USLacrosse.org and ArbiterSports.com.

Need help honoring the game? Apply for a sportsmanship grant US Lacrosse and the Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA) are partners

in a nationwide endeavor to make lacrosse a positive, character-building experience for everyone. Sportsmanship grants help leagues become PCA members. Apply until Sept. 30 at uslacrosse.org/PCA.

Game Administration Recruiting guides available for HS students, families In June 2013, the US Lacrosse men’s and women’s game departments and coaches subcommittees introduced all-inclusive recruiting guides for high school boys and high school girls and their parents. Both guides present facts, dispel myths and promote the essential information to know when it comes to the recruiting process. Be sure to take the time this fall to sit as a family or with your coach, to read through the guides and discuss what is best for the student- athlete.
