Eight new Division I programs ready for 2013-14 debuts

Polley liked what he heard. He also liked what he saw, as Torpey’s Panthers and Amplo’s Golden Eagles made respectable Division I debuts in 2013. Polley has followed their model of bringing in a big freshman class (31 in its case) with a few transfers (three) sprinkled in. BU wants to build a base for the future and contend in the Patriot League. The Terriers also will hold open tryouts for players from the club program from which the varsity sprouted, and plans to keep several of those players.
